Recent Trends in Opportunistic Mycotic Infection

Dear colleagues,

We have great pleasure in inviting you to participate in a one day symposium on
“Recent trends in Opportunistic Mycotic Infections” to be organised by the
Department of Microbiology, Dr ALM PG Instt of Basic Medical Sciences,
University of Madras.


Opportunistic fungal infections are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Over the last few decades there has been a substantial increase in the number of immunocompromised patients in the population. It is our intention to bring together researchers in the field of opportunistic mycotic infections as well as clinicians who are responsible for the management of such infections, for a fruitful exchange of information.
There will be eight oral presentations by invited speakers who have been actively involved in research in the field of opportunistic mycotic infections, and one free paper session in the form of poster presentations.

Delegates are requested to furnish personal details such as full name, address, affiliation, contact telephone number and e mail ID.

Abstracts of research papers are invited from registered delegates which will be screened by the scientific committee and selected abstracts will be included in the poster session.
